Why do keywords disappear as I add photos to the stage?
One of the unique features of Phototaggr is the ability to tag multiple photos at the same time. Photographers generally take many pictures of the same object or scene, and so it's helpful to mass tag similar photos. As you add new photos to the stage, only the keywords ALL the photos have in common remain in the keyword list and EVERY photo in the stage will be tagged with any new keywords entered at that point.
What is the add person dialog?
Because portraiture is so common, we've added a custom wizard to ease the tagging of people pictures. As you check off elements that exist in your photo and then click "close" new corresponding keywords are added to the keyword list. Stay tuned for more useful dialog wizards soon!
Will there be other dialogs/wizards?
Yes! See above
What is an autoadd?
When tagging photos, its common for synonymous words to be always added in groups. For example, when you add "car", you probably also want to add "automobile". When you add car, you can click the "link-plus" image beside automobile to autolink it. From then on, whenever you tag an image with "car", "automobile" will be automatically added as well. If the desired synonym is not found in the provided list for a particular word, you can autoadd the word by typing it into the box and clicking the "autoadd" button at the bottom of the synonym list.
How do I delete/undelete synonyms for a word?
Not all synonyms are appropriate for every domain. You'll likely find many word clutter the interface for your particular searches. You can remedy this by removing unwanted synonyms by clicking on the red minus image link to the side of each synonym. If you happen to delete too many synonyms, you can reset a particular word by clicking on the undo link at the top of the synonym list.
Can I upload more than one photo at once?
Yes. Simply hold down the ctrl key and click as many photos as you'd like.
Why don't my photos appear in the file chooser?
Currently, PhotoTaggr only supports jpegs with extensions .jpg or .JPG. (pngs, bmps and gifs are coming soon!)
Why don.t my Flickr photos appear in the import menu?
You need to organize your Flickr photos into sets, then you can import those sets as PhotoTaggr albums.
Once I've tagged my Flickr photos in PhotoTaggr, how do I get the tags back out to Flickr?
In the "Upload/Change Photos" menu, in every Flickr Album row, there will be an "upload keywords" link. Clicking that will upload the new keywords to Flickr.
I'm having trouble with PhotoTaggr on (Choose one: Linux, Mac, Windows IE). What do I do?
Send us an email with the details! We.re fixing the issues as quickly as they arrive, often that same day. We developed PhotoTaggr in Firefox on Windows but are now actively tweaking the application to run on other platforms.
